Summerschool 2012
The International summerschool of the IPF Multiversity – Martin Buber University offers German and English language courses, as well as intensive courses in philosophy and intercultural competencies, performed by internationally distinguished and qualified lecturers. We are glad to welcome also our Rector Prof. Dr. Dr. Werner Janssen as lecturer in our summerschool. He is a famous figure of today´s philosophy. His particular field of expertise lies in “the dialogical principle” of philosophy.
The summerschool is a top choice for students from all over the world who seek an authentic and invaluable international atmosphere. The programme is designed to provide an unique blend of real immersion within the local culture and truly global experience by learning and sharing within a diverse international student group. This is why the summerschool is directed also at non-philosophers and interested students of all subjects.

Cultural Programme
An attractive activities and excursion programme provides students with opportunities to discover the local culture and to meet and socialise with people from around the world. The International Campus of the Martin Buber University is situated in the famous historical Abbey of Rolduc / Kerkrade, located in the middle of the triangel of Germany, Netherlands and Belgium, the so called EUREGIO area. An excursion to one of the major cities (Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam) can be booked separately during the stay.

Certificate / Credits
All Participants receive a university certificate of attendance at the end of the course. After a successful course participation the Multiversity – Martin Buber University awards 2 ECTS points (one week version) or 4 ECTS credit points (two weeks version) for the course. We calculate 30 hours for 1 ECTS credit points, including preparation for the week, reading, taught elements, fieldwork, preparation for assessments, assessments and afterwork.

Language Course (German) / Language Course (English) / Philosophy Course (“the dialogical principle”) / Intercultural Competencies Course / Various cultural programmes and activities / individual excursions (optional).

1 or 2 weeks

Course dates:
Arrival: Sunday, 22. July 2012 (for all students)
Lessons: First week summerschool: 23. July - 27. July 2012; Second week summerschool: 30. July - 03. August 2012.

Departure: Sunday, 28. July (one week) or 04. August 2012 (two weeks)

Individual excursions can be booked for an additional fee.
The regular summerschool fees includes bed and breakfast, registration fee, teaching material made available, seminars and the supervision of participants during the complete duration of the summerschool session.

Registration:
Registration can be made by mail or fax. The application documents you will find on the website (www.martinbuberuniversity.eu) or in the respective course description. Registration is carried out by filling out and signed the registration form and mailing it to the Office of Admissions, Transfer the respected course fee in Euro. Payment modalities you will find in the application documents. After receiving all documents we will confirm your booking. With this confirmation you can apply for a visa if required.

Insurance:
For the duration of your stay in Kerkrade we recommend taking out a health and accident insurance policy as well as a third party insurance. The Multiversity – Martin Buber University will not be liable for any costs arising in the case of either sickness or injury. summerschool fees do not include any insurance coverage.
